Stephen J. Zych, 59, of 6012 Northeim Rd., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning at his residence. Funeral services will be at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 11 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. The Rev. Charles Morroco will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Zych was born Aug. 9, 1917, in the Town of Newton, Manitowoc County, son of the late Stephen and Mathilda Mella Zych. He married Marcella Schuler Oct. 27, 1945 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St Nazianz. Mr. Zych farmed and resided on the home farm in the Town of Newton all his life and was also employed by Burger Boat Co., Manitowoc, and was a member of Boilermakers Union Local 443. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Michael and Thomas at home; a daughter, Mrs. Allan (Ann) Vander Bloomen, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc; a brother, Alex, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, two sisters, Mrs. Theresa Knipp, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, and Miss Frances Zych, of Manitowoc and three grandchildren. Four brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
