Mrs. Joseph Stefaniak, 68, died Sunday afternoon at the home on Newton route 1 after a long illness. Mrs. Stefaniak was the aunt of Stanley Siewert of Cleveland route 1 who was found dead in bed at his home Sunday morning. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the family home and at 9:30 at St. Casimir's church at Nordheim, the Rev. Anthony Betley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Leschke Funeral Home this evening and will be removed to the family home Tuesday afternoon to lie there until the hour of the funeral. Mrs. Stefaniak, nee Siewert, was born at Newton on October 21, 1872 and was married 52 years ago. Survivors are the widower; four children, Mrs. Henry Junk and Mrs. Anthony Chizek of Manitowoc, Mrs. Erwin Kollath of Milwaukee and Mrs. John Mrotek of Newton; three sons, John, Wlady and Stanley of Newton; one brother, Wlady Siewert of Centerville; two sisters, Mrs. Valentine Malicki of Chicago and Mrs. Ed Rhode of Newton; and ten grandchildren. Mrs. Stefaniak was a member of the Rosary society of St. Casimir's church.
