Max F. Pekarske, 77, of Route 1, Newton, died Sunday evening, Dec. 9, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. The Rev. Charles Mocco will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Pekarske was born March 19, 1902, in the Town of Newton, son of the late Joseph and Monica Leschke Pekarske. He married Agnes Logan July 17, 1927, at St. Isidore Church, Osman. He had been a farmer and employed with Burger Boat Company, Manitowoc. Survivors include his wife, two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Ordella Pekarske of Valders and Joseph and Jeanette Pekarske of rural Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Gerald Wilda of Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Eleanor Bonk of Milwaukee and 14 grandchildren. A brother, John Pekarske, and a sister, Harriet Westell preceded him in death. Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, where a parish prayer service will be at 8 p.m.
