John Siewert, 73, formerly of Rt. 1, Cleveland, died Sunday evening at the Manitowoc County Hospital. Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Newton. The Rev. Casimir Tomczyk will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Siewert was born May 4, 1897, in the Town of Centerville, Manitowoc County, son of the late Ladislauf and Helen Bonk Siewert. Survivors include five brothers, Walt of Custer, S.D., Frank of Ellensburg, Wash., Joseph and Ladd of Milwaukee and Peter of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Arnold (Sophie) Zurheide and Mrs. Fred (Adeline) Stocks of Sheboygan and Mrs. Gordon (Helen) Pippert of Cleveland, and nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 o’clock this Tuesday afternoon where a Rosary will be recited at 8 o’clock by Father Tomczyk.
