MOTHER OF ED. LESCHKE PASSES AWAY Mrs. Pauline Leschke, pioneer resident of the county, passed away at her home, 1026 So. Fourteenth street last evening, death being due to illness from which Mrs. Leschke had been a sufferer for six years although only during the last three weeks had her condition been alarming. Mrs. Leschke is the mother of Edward Leschke, well known business man and musician of the city. A native of Germany, Mrs. Leschke was born June 14, 1852(sic), being 73 years of age at her death. Coming here with her parents when she was but one year old Mrs. Leschke has always been a resident here. Mr. Leschke preceded his wife in death and the children who are left to mourn her demise are Mrs. A. Gebhard, Mrs. Adolph Brachman of this city, Mrs. George Gebhard of Plymouth, Mrs. Walter Madigan, and Mrs. Edward Jaase of Osman, John and Edward of this city, and Peter and Joseph of Osman. Also two sisters and three brothers are left to mourn her death, being Mrs. Martin Kapes of Waukesha and Mrs. Joseph Tomschek of Chicago, John Cichy of Necedah, and Peter and George Cichy of Nebraska. The funeral will be held from St. Boniface church Saturday morning at 9 o’clock, and burial will be held at Northeim, where Mrs. Leschke was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Casmir. She was also a member of St. Anne’s society of the St. Boniface church of this city.
