On Way to Neighbor’s (private) told officers she applied the brakes immediately after striking the man, whose body was found in the east ditch about 50 to 60 feet north- east of the point of impact. Death was attributed to a skull fracture although Coroner Dr. Theodore Teitgen said the victim also suffered a broken right leg and right shoulder. Dr. Teirgen said Mrotek was on his way to the home of a neighbor to tell him of a deer which his brother, Ed, had shot earlier in the day.
