Edward Zinkel, 82, of Francis Creek, died Wednesday at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Haen will officiate and burial will be in St. Casimir Cemetery, Northeim. Mr. Zinkel was born Apr. 28, 1891, at Newton, son of the late Carl and Margaret Degenhardt Zinkel. He married Emma Roberts. She preceded him in death in 1925. He married Rose Staddler Sprang. She preceded him in death in 1953. He engaged in farming in Manitowoc County until his retirement. Survivors include five sons, Richard Zinkel, of Plymouth, Anton Zinkel, of Two Rivers and Arthur Zinkel, of Brillion, Herman Sprang, of Reedsville and Carl Spring (sic), of Florida; seven daughters, Mrs. Ivan (Marie) Fictum, Mrs. Ray (Margaret) Trainor, Miss Myrtle Sprang and Mrs. Donald (Dolores) Manlick, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Abdon (Gertrude) Kohlbeck, of Francis Creek, Mrs. Robert (Rose) Bushman, of Newton and Mrs. Darrel (Florence) McCollum, of Missouri; a sister, Mrs. Mary Junk, of Manitowoc; 46 grandchildren and 23 great grand- children. Two sons, three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
