Mrs. Agnes L. Pekarske, 82, of Newton, died Sunday morning, May 20, at her residence. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders and 10:30 a.m. at St. Casimir's Catholic Church, Northeim. The Rev. Charles Macco will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Pekarske was born February 18, 1902, at Maple Grove, daughter of the late John and Anna Hogan Logan. She attended Manitowoc County Schools and Manitowoc County Teachers College. Mrs. Pekarske taught in Manitowoc County rural schools. She married Max Pekarske on July 27, 1927, in Manitowoc County. Mrs. Pekarske was a member of St.Casimir Rosary Society. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Jeanette of rural Manitowoc; a daughter and a son-in-law, Anne and Gerald Wilda of Norfolk, Virginia; a brother and a sister-in-law, Edward and Kathryn Logan of Cleveland; a sister-in-law, Laura Logan of Milwaukee; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ordella Pekarske of Valders; 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Robert Sr., two brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening. A parish prayer service will be held at 8 p.m.
