Mrs. Mabel Rohde, the former Mabel Pinter of Osman, died early Tuesday morning at Milwaukee where she had been residing in recent years. Funeral services have been tentatively set for Friday morning at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Milwaukee, with burial at St. Casimir Cemetery, Northeim. Manitowoc Herald Times, December 13, 1955 P. 17 ******* Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas Rohde, 58, a native of Manitowoc County, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack early Tuesday morning at the home, 1759 N. 55th St., Milwaukee, will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in that city. Burial will be in the St. Casimir Catholic Church Cemetery at Northeim, Manitowoc County about noon. The former Mable Pinter, daughter of the late John and Mrs. Emma Pinter, was born in the town of Meeme on Feb. 14, 1897. After her marriage to Thomas Rohde the couple operated a cheese factory at Osman. About 21 years ago they left Osman and for the past 15 years resided at Milwaukee. Mrs. Rhode attended Osman grade schools and in 1915 was graduated from Manitowoc County Teachers College. She taught for a time in county schools. Mrs. Rohde is survived by four sons, Roger, Gayes, Paul and Thomas of Milwaukee; three daughters, Mrs. Richard Hookert and Mrs. Raymond McCarthy of Milwaukee and Mrs. Harry Bright of Marquette, Mich.; mother, Mrs. Emma Pinter, who resided with her; six brothers, Matt, Al, Orrin and Glenn of Milwaukee, Jack of Detroit and Harvey of Tomahawk, Wis.; three sisters, Mrs. George Frieke(?) and Mrs. Victor Diederich of Milwaukee and Mrs. Harvey Peterson of Union City, N.J.; and 11 grandchildren. Mr. Rohde died four years ago. The Rev. L. L. Lisowski, pastor of St. Casimirs, officiated. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Milwaukee. Pallbearers were six brothers of the deceased: Jack Pinter of Detroit, Mich; Orrin, Matt, Glenn and Al Pinter of Milwaukee and Harvey Pinter of Tomahawk. Attending the services at Milwaukee and Nordheim were Mrs. Emil Chermak, Mrs. Roy Christephal, Mrs. Leo Kattner, John Bonk and Mrs. Marie Hoeffner, Manitowoc, and Mr. and Mrs. John Masiak, and Mrs. Nick Kuffel, Newton. Mrs. Rohde was a native of Osman and many friends from there were present at the graveside.
