From Der Nord Westen, 08 July 1880: Death by drowning of the 14-year old, eldest son of Stephan Kadow on 02 July in Newton. The body was found Sat. morning and was buried Sat. afternoon. ******* A young lad named Cadow, aged fifteen fell off the pier at Mann's Landing in Newton, last Saturday while fishing and was drowned. Manitowoc Pilot Thursday, July 8, 1880 ******* This child's name was actually Nariannis Stephanis Kadow according to family researcher.
