Frank V. Mella, 74, of 6609 Northeim Road, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, August 7, at his residence. Funeral services will be 9:15 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Charles Macco and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Mella was born October 17, 1909, in the Town of Newton, son of the late Joseph and Marcella Bialkowski Mella. Mr. Mella owned and operated the Homestead Farm in the Town of Newton all his life and prior to retirement was also employed at Farmco Mill at Newton. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Florian A. and Mary Mella of Kellnersville; and several nieces and nephews, Mary Lou and James Pfeifer and Susan and Joseph Zboralski of Manitowoc, Ellen and Genial Mathu of Luxemburg, Florian F. and Lynda Mella of Sobieski, Wisconsin, Michael and Patricia Mella of Moline, Illinois, James Mella of Milwaukee and Timothy and Carolyn Mella of Argonne, Wisconsin. Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday where a prayer service will be at 8 p.m. by Father Macco. Herald Times Reporter, August 8, 1984 P. 3
